Membership into Central Texas Dairy Goat Association(CTDGA) is open to anyone interested in dairy goats. It is a great group of people; from experienced to novice. We have members who have owned dairy goats for over 25 years as a hobby and a passion. We also have members who have dairy goats as a commercial venture, making cheese, soaps and other goat products very successfully. Others are just starting out in goats, perhaps as a 4H or FFA project.
Many of our members are members of the American Dairy Goat Association (ADGA) and/or the American Goat Society (AGS). Membership in a breed registry organization such as ADGA allows members to register & show in ADGA sanctioned shows and participate in ADGA performance programs, all of which enhances the value of our animals and well as proves their genetic value. ADGA membership is not a requirement to be a member of CTGDA.
So what are the benefits of joining?
1-It is a great way to meet other like-minded dairy goat enthusiasts
